Subang, W Java (ANTARA) - State-owned pharmaceutical company Bio Farma ensures the safety of every user data registered in the corporation’s digital healthcare applications that are developed to strengthen national health resilience.

"It can be said that Bio Farma's security system is one of the strongest (cybersecurity system of Indonesian companies) at the moment," Director for Transformation and Digital Affairs of the enterprise Soleh Ayubi remarked here on Saturday.

Ayubi noted that his side closely cooperates and coordinates with the National Cyber and Encryption Agency (BSSN) to maintain security of the users’ medical record data managed by Bio Farma.

Moreover, his side complies with the provisions contained in the Personal Data Protection (PDP) Law to prevent any breach of consumer data.

"We have (cybersecurity) defense and offense teams. We (also) regularly test (our) cybersecurity (system), and there are no leaks," the director affirmed.

In addition, Bio Farma is collaborating with several global technology and health companies, such as Google Cloud, Fitbit, and ConnectedLife, on the latest digital health innovations.

Ayubi emphasized that infrastructure and safety standards implemented by Bio Farma, both regarding the manufacturing of the pharmaceutical products as well as the practice of the digital services, meet the global standards.

In addition to the digital healthcare applications, Bio Farma is intensively developing various end-to-end healthcare services.

The services include research and development in the pharmaceutical sector, medicine manufacturing and distribution as well as operations of retail pharmacies, clinics, and clinical laboratories through a digital system called Healthcare Ecosystem.

The director stated that Bio Farma is also developing a website-based business-to-business (B2B) drug and medical devices marketplace called Medicine Distribution Business Zone (Medbiz).

"The (business) potential of this healthcare service is enormous, both in Indonesia and overseas. We will take advantage of this momentum to immensely transform (our services) through (the implementation of) digital technology," he added.

Medbiz is connected to several medicine and health equipment distributor networks across Indonesia to facilitate its customers to find quality health products.
