Jakarta (ANTARA) - The Energy and Mineral Resources (ESDM) Ministry held the second booster dose of COVID-19 vaccination for all its employees as implementation of the Health Ministry's Circular Letter to execute the vaccine administration activity.

The ESDM Ministry is one of the first ministries that implements the second booster COVID-19 vaccine program, Head of the Ministry's Communication, Public Information Service, and Cooperation Bureau Endang Sutisna noted through his statement, Thursday.

This activity is undertaken a week after the circular letter was issued, he remarked.

The vaccination held at the ministry's office, here, Wednesday, is in accordance with ESDM Minister Arifin Tasrif's instruction to boost the immunity of all ESDM Ministry's employees.

"In addition, this second booster dose vaccination is one of the efforts to encourage the (transition from the) end of the pandemic to become endemic," he stated.

Meanwhile, COVID-19 Handling Acceleration Task Force Team Head at the Ministry Upik Jamil stated that the second booster vaccination is held on February 1-3, 2023, at the Chairul Saleh Building, ESDM Ministry, here.

The activity is then continued on February 6-8, 2023.

"The vaccination activity is participated by around five thousand people within the ESDM Ministry, which comprises state civil apparatuses (ASNs), non-civil servant government employees (PPNPNs), as well as outsourced workforce," he explained.

He also lauded vaccination workers on duty comprising health workers within the ministry, facilitated by the Health Ministry in cooperation with the Jakarta Health Service, and non-medical workers from the ministry's ASNs and PPNPNs.

"We thank the dedication of all workers, both medical and non-medical, for undertaking this noble cause, with the expectation that all ESDM Ministry employees will be healthy and protected from the COVID-19 virus," he remarked.
