Jakarta (ANTARA) - Government’s Development Finance Comptroller (BPKP) Head Muhammad Yusuf Ateh stated that BPKP in 2023 focuses on monitoring seven development strategic sectors described within 105 priority topics and 25 themes of financial management and national development.

"In 2023, our monitoring will still prioritize state financial leak prevention, speed, timeliness, (and collaboration as well as synergy encouragement)," he noted at a press conference, here, Wednesday.

These seven sectors comprise development of quality human resources, infrastructure and connectivity resolution acceleration, as well as state, regional and village finance accountability.

The other sectors are economic development, food security, energy security, as well as good and clean governance strengthening.

The BPKP also established the 2023 Priority Monitoring Agenda (APP) with the theme "Assist Economic Transformation and Productivity."

The 2023 APP is also a monitoring teaser product that will be produced by BPKP. This teaser product can be used by BPKP stakeholders, including the president.

The agenda can also serve as a reference point for the regional ministries/institutions/governments' Government Internal Monitoring Apparatus (APIP) in designing and aligning internal monitoring implementation on institutions that they are accountable for.

On the occasion, he also noted that the BPKP will not only refer to APP but also depend on changes within the government if important events were to occur, thereby translating to the fact that APP's contents may also change.

"Usually, we are given additional duties to execute, and we will certainly carry it out. Everything is adjusted based on the changes in priorities and needs," Ateh stated.

In addition to APP, there is the Regional Priority Monitoring Agenda (APPD) that specifically monitors development at the regional scale.

"We take at least two strategic developments in the most important area in each region," he explained.
