The approach to Indonesia's development in the future will change. From only reformation, we will move toward transformation…Jakarta (ANTARA) - The Golden Indonesia 2045 development vision emphasizes transformation in all aspects of the community's life, according to deputy for economy at the National Development Planning Ministry, Amalia Adininggar Widyasanti.
"The approach to Indonesia's development in the future will change. From only reformation, we will move toward transformation because reformation is not enough to realize Golden Indonesia 2045," she said at “The Future is Now: Collaborative Action to Achieve Indonesia Vision 2045” discussion on Thursday.
There are many transformations that will need to be made to achieve the vision, starting from social, economic, to governance transformations, which will be supported by the enablers of the transformations, including stability, financing, and socioecological resilience, she explained.
According to Widyasanti, the transformation of all aspects of life will be realized through regional policies, supported by massive efforts to develop infrastructure.
Therefore, efforts to reduce inequality and improve connectivity can also support Indonesia's transformation measures.
According to Widyasanti, Indonesia's transformation will be strengthened by implementation principles and strong diplomacy, which must become an essential part of the joint effort to achieve the 2045 vision.
She further said that one of the efforts for Indonesia's economic transformation is increasing productivity.
Thus, the structure of the economy needs to shift to a more productive direction and economic complexity needs to be increased so that Indonesia's economy can grow by an average of 6 percent.
She further emphasized that high economic growth should not be followed by an increase in greenhouse gas emissions and inequality.
"We must grow high, but inclusively and sustainably, meaning that the high economic growth will also be accompanied by a decrease in inequality and greenhouse gas emissions," she said.
