Kendari (ANTARA) - President Joko Widodo (Jokowi) is scheduled to inaugurate the 53rd National Quran Recitation Week (PTQN) event organized by national radio broadcasting institution LPP RRI on April 1-6 in Kendari City, Southeast Sulawesi Province.

As cited in a press statement received in Kendari, Wednesday, Regional Secretary of Southeast Sulawesi Province Asrun Lio stated that in addition to inaugurating PTQN, the president is also scheduled to inaugurate a Cardiac Hospital, Tourism Road, and an international-level library in Kendari City.

"We hope that all the scheduled events would run smoothly as planned, and for that to happen, we need the support of all parties," Lio remarked.

"PTQN 2023 will begin with a parade in the morning and will then be followed by the opening of the Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs) exhibition and also an iftar event with 10 thousand orphans and members of the poor community at the Monument of Unity of Kendari City.

"The Head of RRI Kendari Local Committee Gafar stated that the event will have 350 to 400 participants from 69 LPP RRI work units across Indonesia.

"Today, some guests has started to arrive, including directors and technical teams of Pro3 and RRI Net. Meanwhile, participants from outside of the province are expected to come on Thursday and Friday," he affirmed.
