Jakarta (ANTARA) - The Cooperatives and Small and Medium Enterprises (SMEs) Ministry has organized the Entrepreneur Hub Jakarta program to expedite the National Medium-Term Development Plan (RPJMN) 2020–2024 and boost the entrepreneur ratio to 3.95 percent.

Entrepreneur Hub Jakarta is a part of the 2023 Entrepreneur Hub program, which has currently become the ministry's priority program for developing national entrepreneurs, entrepreneurship deputy at the ministry Siti Azizah said.

The main goal of the program is to develop an entrepreneurship ecosystem, she added during the “Entrepreneur Hub Jakarta Kick-Off” event here on Wednesday.

The Entrepreneur Hub Jakarta has raised the theme of entrepreneurship ecosystem development to create successful entrepreneurs as well as innovative and sustainable businesses.

The program will be held over three months and involve curation from stakeholders and the selection of 100 businesspersons that have the potential to be developed to become bigger.

There are several activities within the kick-off event, which include training and mentoring that will be provided in 11 sustainable modules. The modules will be executed gradually over five main sessions, Azizah said.

The modules have been adapted from several materials from the ASEAN Mentorship for Entrepreneurs Network (AMEN).

They encompass building an entrepreneurial mindset, marketing, ways to market recent products, growth and expansion, making a business model, operation management, supply chain, human resource management, financial aspects, taxation and business laws, design, and pitching for entrepreneurs.

After training through mentoring, 100 businesspersons will also be given a chance to get involved in the match meeting forum.

The forum will serve as a platform connecting participants with several business partners, so that the SMEs can learn and build collaboration in developing their businesses.

"In this forum, there will also be onboarding for participants' products on digital partner platforms, such as the PaDI BUMN, startup, e-commerce and E-Katalog LKPP," she informed.

Moreover, under the “meet the investor” agenda, Entrepreneur Hub participants will also get to meet with investors and make a pitch to them with the goal of achieving financing support and long-term investment.

As concrete proof of collaboration, the ministry will be assisted by a number of partners in providing training and mentoring materials.
