"There are quite a lot of self check-in machines spread across terminals 1, 2, and 3," Senior Manager of Communication and Legal of Soetta Airport M. Holik Muardi said at the Soekarno-Hatta Airport in Tangerang, Banten, Thursday.
Meanwhile, data from AP II shows that as many as 49,578 passengers were recorded at Soetta Airport on D-2 of Eid, or on Thursday.
A total of 529 flights, comprising 437 domestic flights and 92 international flights, were recorded on D-2 of Eid at the Soetta Airport.
Meanwhile, there were 312 flights for departures and 217 flights for arrivals.
The D-2 Lebaran flights from Soetta Airport were largely to domestic destinations -- Kualanamu and Bali -- while for international flights, so far, the top destinations are Kuala Lumpur and Singapore.
"Most departures are at 11:00-12:00 WIB (11:00-12:00 a.m.) and most arrivals are at 14:00-16:00 (2:00-4:00 p.m.) WIB," Muardi remarked.
Earlier, BUMN Minister Erick Thohir appealed to people heading home for the 2023 Eid al-Fitr 1444 H holiday to travel by trains and planes rather than using private vehicles.
The government earlier stated that the flow of homecoming vehicles would start on April 18 until its peak on April 21, 2023, with an estimated 123.8 million travelers, an increase from last year's count of travelers that reached 85 million.
Thohir said that he would go directly to the field to check and anticipate traffic jams during homecoming.
