Labuan Bajo (ANTARA) - Indonesian President Joko Widodo (Jokowi) and First Lady Iriana Joko Widodo arrived in Labuan Bajo, West Manggarai, East Nusa Tenggara Province, on Saturday evening.

President Widodo traveled on the presidential aircraft, which landed at Komodo Airport, Labuan Bajo, at 6:44 p.m. WITA (Central Indonesia Standard Time).

The duration of his Labuan Bajo visit was not disclosed.

On Saturday morning, the President and his wife performed Eid al-Fitr prayers at Sheikh Zayed Grand Mosque in his hometown of Surakarta, Central Java.

In a joint video conference with Vice President Ma'ruf Amin, which was broadcast from Surakarta by the Presidential Office’s Youtube channel, Widodo said that he would be flying to Labuan Bajo.

"I will be here (in Surakarta) until the afternoon to have time with relatives, then I will head to Labuan Bajo to check on the readiness of the ASEAN (Summit)," he informed at the video conference.
