Jakarta (ANTARA) - State-owned inspection service firm PT Sucofindo supports the Special Task Force for Upstream Oil and Gas Business Activities (SKK Migas) in realizing the target of producing one million barrels of oil per day (bpd) and 12 billion standard cubic feet of gas per day (bscfd) in 2030.

Commercial Director of PT Sucofindo Darwin Abas, in a written statement received here, Friday, stated that the support was realized through the cooperation between Sucofindo and SKK Migas, which was marked by the signing of a memorandum of understanding at the 2022 International Convention on Indonesian Upstream Oil and Gas (IOG) in Bali.

Meanwhile, Chairman of the 2023 Kapnas Forum Erwin Suryadi stated that the National Capacity Forum was one of ’the efforts of SKK Migas to strengthen the capacity of business players, manufacturers, and vendors, as well as MSMEs to support the upstream oil and gas industry.

This is in accordance with the plans and strategies for Indonesia Oil and Gas 4.0, one of the targets of which is to increase the multiplier effect of the upstream oil and gas industry.

"We are focusing on this effort by encouraging the concept of business integration between business actors, manufacturers, and vendors, as well as MSMEs as a support for the upstream oil and gas industry. The potential for upstream oil and gas has many aspects and can be integrated with each other, especially in increasing national capacity," he remarked.

SKK Migas encourages MSMEs to become more competent and independent to enable them to take part nationally and internationally, which is one of the real contributions of the upstream oil and gas industry in increasing the capacity of MSMEs.
