"Make pluralism a strong foundation for fostering brotherhood and peace in Indonesia," he said at the 2nd National Working Meeting of the Dawah and Human Resources Development Institute (LPPDSDM) of the Indonesian Mosque Youth Communication Agency (BKPRMI) held here on Saturday.
Addressing mosque youths, Hasan emphasizing that Indonesia is a large and diverse country with the world's largest Muslim population.
According to him, Jakarta, as the center of government, must remain peaceful in the upcoming political year and the 2024 general elections, as there is a risk of social conflicts arising from group polarization.
The theme of the meeting was "Synergy between Mosque Youths and the Indonesian Military (TNI) in Realizing Social Harmony and Peacefulness in the Political Year."
Hasan stated that his side is always prepared to collaborate with all segments of society, including mosque youths, in safeguarding and securing Jakarta and its surroundings, especially during the general elections.
He further expressed his pride in the young members of LPPDSDM BKPRMI, who are committed to fostering brotherhood and upholding religious tolerance.
BKPRMI is one of the Islamic religious organizations that play a significant role in the development of the younger generation, who are the pillars of the nation's progress, he added.
The event concluded with a group photo and the exchange of appreciation gifts between Hasan and H. Said Aldi Al Idrus, the chairperson of BKPRMI, along with representatives from LPPDSDM BKPRMI across all provinces in the country.
BKPRMI was established on September 3, 1977, with a primary focus on empowerment programs for the younger generation.
