The digitization of services is not only changing the version from analog to digital but also must be followed by a change in mindset and prioritize integrated digitizationJakarta (ANTARA) - The establishment of Digital Public Service Malls (MPPs) is the government's tactical strategy to accelerate the provision of public services as well as boost investment, Vice President Ma'ruf Amin has said.
Speaking at a Digital MPP launch at the Vice President's Palace here on Tuesday, he underlined that through Digital MPPs, integrated public services are expected to become better, faster, and safer.
He asked stakeholders at all levels to continue to innovate in the development of Digital MPPs and strengthen collaboration to ensure their implementation runs well.
He also encouraged ministries, government institutions, regional governments, and other stakeholders to track the trend of technological disruption, which requires a quality change in mindsets and public service patterns.
"The digitization of services is not only changing the version from analog to digital but also must be followed by a change in mindset and prioritize integrated digitization," he said.
The Vice President stressed that Digital MPPs, as a form of support for the digital service transformation, must offer a solution to the fragmentation of public services.
Digital MPPs should be able to integrate cross-sectoral service business processes, bring about service standardization, and support the use of easy and low-cost information technology, as well as digital literacy.
Amin asked ministries, institutions, and regional governments to work intensively to ensure the Digital MPP pilot project runs well, including in terms of expanding the coverage of primary services for the community.
Furthermore, he called for aligning Digital MPPs with steps to achieve national priority targets, such as increasing investment, eradicating extreme poverty, and accelerating childhood stunting reduction.
He also stressed the need for devising a Digital MPP road map as a strategic part of the national and regional Electronic-Based Government System (SPBE) architecture development.
He expressed gratitude for the strong commitment of ministries, institutions, regional governments, and state-owned enterprises that have prepared collaboration steps for Digital MPPs.
"Hopefully, the soft launching of the Digital MPP will not only become a good start but also can continue to develop sustainably as a manifestation of the new spirit and way of work in managing government services," he said.
