Oktohari deemed that the sports budget is the biggest current challenge since the figure is below 0.01 percent of the state budget.
Hence, NOC Indonesia will continue to encourage the government to increase the sports budget in line with achievement of the growth target.
"Earlier, we already delivered the initiatives to the head of DPD (Regional Representative Council) and to the youth and sports minister," he remarked.
"We told them that our challenge in the future is the fact that improving achievement is inseparable from the budget, and we need support from everyone," he added.
Moreover, the budget is inseparable from the Grand Design of National Sports (DBON) which, according to Oktohari, must be flexible and adjust to the existing dynamics.

There should be competition and application of a promotion and degradation system among sport branches to ensure that Indonesia's sports achievement can improve, he explained.
Achievement improvement also aligns with the 2023-2027 NOC Indonesia vision, namely "Standing on the World Stage" that is expected to encompass several talents to participate in the sports sector.
"This is not just about athletes' achievements but also coaches and referees. There should be many Indonesians qualified to become referees in international events," he remarked.
Moreover, encouraging parents to involve their children in athlete training, improving foreign language skills, and involving the private sector became a challenge on its own.
NOC Indonesia will request the government to provide incentives for private companies willing to support Indonesian sports, provide sponsor, and offer donation, Oktohari noted.
"Through this incentive, many more companies will be motivated to provide their optimal support to Indonesian sports," he stated.
