This program is part of the International Olympic Committee's (IOC's) initiative titled International Olympic Academy, he remarked here on Friday.
"There is also the World Olympic Academy, so we only need to implement their modules. However, the main point of the program is spreading Olimpianism (value)," he noted.
"NOC Indonesia will create academies spread across Indonesia, which are affiliated with the International Olympic Academy from IOC that is a program to spread the Olympic Movement to all of Indonesia," he remarked.
Moreover, this program aligns with NOC Indonesia's vision and mission for the 2023-2027 period summarized with the tagline "Standing on the World Stage, he remarked.
According to Oktohari, the tagline was decided as the committee believes that Indonesia is worthy of becoming a participant and even policymaker in all international events.
"We want further participation, so that Indonesia's existence in the world of sports, whether in terms of achievements and organization, can be realized," he affirmed.
Echoing the statement, Deputy Chairman of NOC Indonesia Ismail Ning expects that the dream can be achieved under the current leadership and through hard work of the committee's officials and related parties for more advanced Indonesian sports.
"Earlier, in NOC, I already saw his (Oktohari) performance in the world of sports, so clearly, I am willing to support him," he stated.
"I believe that under his leadership, he can bring Indonesian sports to the world stage. I will spend every energy that I have to support the program," he emphasized.
