"With these Management Rights Certificates, we truly expect that the location can boost the economy, particularly the regional economy in Central Java and Yogyakarta," Antoni stated in a statement received on Friday.
He referred to two certified land plots at the Borobudur Authority Area, with 21 hectares of land outlined in certificate number 0003 and another 30 hectares outlined in certificate number 0004, for a total of 51 hectares that will be utilized for tourism development.
He officially handed over the Management Rights Certificates to the Borobudur Authority Agency in Magelang.
The certification process for the Borobudur complex, which took six months, is the result of sound collaborative efforts between the Tourism and Creative Economy Ministry and the Borobudur Authority Agency, he noted.
"Good communication was the key to the certification process for the Borobudur Temple complex. In six months, we have completed it, thank God," he remarked.
He also said that the initiative is proof of President Joko Widodo's success in dismantling exclusivity found among ministries, and that it can benefit the state's development.
The Borobudur Authority Area is a clean and clear area that allows investors to come without concerns about the land mafia, he stated.
Deputy Minister for Tourism and Creative Economy Angela Tanoesoedibjo expressed gratitude to the Agrarian and Spatial Planning Ministry for its collaboration, as all matters they work on together are always addressed comprehensively.
"All matters pertaining to lands, as long as they are within the authority of the Ministry of Agrarian Affairs and Spatial Planning, are always resolved well," she noted.
