After chairing an APRC preparation meeting here on Friday, North Sumatra Deputy Governor Musa Rajekshah said that spectator stands will be provided for spectators watching the championship.
"People will find it easier to watch, just like in a circuit. We will prepare this to entertain automotive lovers, especially rally lovers," he explained.
According to him, the spectators will be able to view the entire track from the stands, not only one or two bends.
He said careful preparations are being made for the competition, especially for the installation of the super special stage.
"The super special stage is much more difficult to be prepared for than a regular special stage and the open track," he said.
He informed that his administration discussed the 2023 APRC preparation with the North Sumatra Association of Motor Indonesia (IMI) and Toba Pulp Lestari on Friday.
He said the APRC will have two series — the APRC Asia Cup Round 3, which will take place from September 22–23, 2023, and the APRC Grand Final, which will be held on November 24–26 in the Toba Pulp Lestari Industrial Plantation area.
The committee will sell the tickets for the APRC championship and prepare a special spot for micro, small, and medium enterprises (MSMEs), he added.
"The spectators will not only be from Lake Toba, but also from other districts and even outside North Sumatra. It would be nice for us to organize it like this because the ticket price goes back to the audience as we have prepared comfortable spectator stands," he said.
