The acting chairman of the cycling tour event, Hendra Dharmanto, here on Sunday said that the 23rd Tour de Borobudur covered a distance of 113.7 kilometers on the first day, with a fairly challenging route.
The first-day route was Surakarta - Plupuh - Sragen - Botok Reservoir - Kemuning Tea Plantation - Cetho Temple. From the plantation to the temple, the participants went through an extreme climb.
After the climb, they passed the Karangpandan - Karanganyar route and finished at the Pracima Tuin Park at Pura Mangkunegaran Palace, Surakarta.
The second day, which was a fun route, covered a distance of 103 kilometers. The route became a favorite of racing bike lovers.
This route comprised several tourist destinations with the start at the city of Surakarta, and continue to Klaten, Sleman, and the finish line is at Borobudur Temple, Magelang.
"This route is interesting because it crosses several tourist destinations along the way," Dharmanto said.

At the finish line location, the participants were welcomed by musical performances by Anji and Cak Lontong.
There was also an exhibition of micro, small, and medium enterprises (MSMEs) from the province.
PT TWC who manages the Borobudur Temple, Prambanan Temple, and Ratu Boko Site, praised the implementation of the Bank Jateng Tour de Borobudur.
President Director of PT TWC Febrina Intan in a press release said that sport tourism activities in TWC destinations support quality and sustainable tourism, which have an economic impact on the local community and the surrounding environment.
"To support Borobudur as a super-priority tourism destination (DPSP) towards quality and sustainable tourism, PT TWC synergizes and collaborates with related stakeholders, one of which is sport tourism events," she said.
