Jakarta (ANTARA) - The Ministry of Manpower acknowledges the pivotal role of Community Vocational Training Center's (BLK's) instructors in advancing the development of human resources in Indonesia.

"Instructors play a major role in vocational training that function as a facilitator to improve knowledge, skill, attitude, and work ethic of the workforce," Secretary-General of the Ministry Anwar Sanusi stated in Jakarta on Monday.

During the national working session of BLK instructors in Surabaya, East Java, Sanusi remarked that the role of instructors should be enhanced, as they have a correlation with developing human resources and as an entry point in realizing the competence of Indonesia.

He drew attention to several aspects to prepare to set up a competent workforce, including competency standards that become a reference in the training process, credible training institutions, and quality training materials.

However, the prominent role is the quality of instructors in transferring abilities, imparting knowledge, and improving the outlook for trainees.

"All of this is a sequence of a unit in the process to develop quality human resources, which are able to compete in the world of work," Sanusi affirmed.

He called on the instructors to be prepared to face any challenges by improving their competency.

Sanusi believed that all instructors that joined the session are ready to face challenges and contribute to Indonesia.

"Instructors play a significant role in preparing the new generation to achieve the 2045 Gold Indonesia target," Sanusi stated.

To activate the Community BLK program on a massive scale, he stated that the ministry has allocated programs and budgets for applying the competency of instructors of Community BLK.
