The summit is being held in Jakarta from September 5 to 7, 2023.
"PLN Indonesia Power is ready to back PLN in (supporting) the 43rd ASEAN Summit. We are ready to provide reliable electricity through our electric power generators," president director of PLN Indonesia Power, Edwin Nugraha Putra, said in a statement released here on Tuesday.
He affirmed that PLN Indonesia Power is ready to support the provision of electricity during the ASEAN Summit with the help of connected electrical generator units in Java and Bali, especially those that supply electricity to Jakarta and surrounding areas.
According to Putra, the company is ensuring the reliability of its power generation units during the 43rd ASEAN Summit implementation by deploying its best employees.
Meanwhile, PLN president director Darmawan Prasodjo said that the 43rd ASEAN Summit is Indonesia's showcase to Southeast Asia and the world.
"It is our duty to maintain electricity security and resilience for the ASEAN Summit. For this reason, we ensure that all our personnel are ready to support this summit," he said.
With the electricity standby period set from August 25 to September 7 to support the summit, PLN has been supplying reliable electricity with zero downtime and deploying hundreds of personnel to ensure the proper generation, transmission, and distribution of electricity, Prasodjo said.
Earlier, the director of electricity-related business at PLN Icon Plus, PLN's sub-holding, which focuses on telecommunications networks, Chipta Perdana, said that green and digital transformation are inseparable.
"Green transformation requires digital transformation and digital transformation will bring a greener environment to the world," Perdana observed at the Climate Impact Innovation Challenge (CIIC) on September 2.
CIIC was a side event of the ASEAN Business & Investment Summit (ABIS) organized by the ASEAN Business Advisory Council (ASEAN-BAC).
