Jakarta (ANTARA) - Chief of the Presidential Staff (KSP) Moeldoko stated that the administration of President Joko Widodo and Vice President Ma'ruf Amin in the past four years had steered Indonesia to the path of continued growth.

Moeldoko, in his statement received here on Friday, stated that Indonesia was able to be resilient and also registered significant progress and development during the pandemic.

"We not only won from dealing with the pandemic but also made leaps of progress and development. Currently, Indonesia continues to grow and advance," Moeldoko stated here on Friday.

The KSP chief remarked that one indicator of the success of the Jokowi-Amin administration is the strong economic growth, reaching 5.3 percent.

According to Moeldoko, strong export performance and a stable domestic economy have supported positive economic growth.

Meanwhile, the government also restored the state budget deficit to below three percent in 2022.

Through the Jokowi-Amin administration's downstreaming policy, the country made a leap in increasing the export value of mining products.

Moeldoko cited as an example that the value of nickel exports had experienced a surge, from US$0.65 million in 2017 to US$5.94 million in 2022.

Positive achievements were also clocked in the investment sector, reaching Rp1,207 trillion (US$76 million) in 2022 and surpassing the target.

"This is because we have transformed investment governance by simplifying regulations, bureaucratic reforms, and logistics efficiency," he explained.

Furthermore, Moeldoko highlighted the government's commitment to realizing equitable development throughout the country by upholding the principle of "Indonesia-centric development."

To support the goal, the government boosts development in underdeveloped villages. As a result, the number of underdeveloped villages has dropped significantly, from 17,626 to 6,749.

The KSP chief stated that the Jokowi-Amin administration continues to improve the investment climate and develop vocational education and training programs to produce quality workers.

In the global arena, Indonesia has again become a major player in world diplomacy. Indonesia's diplomatic influence index soared rapidly, even surpassing Singapore.

"Indonesia, with its diplomatic capabilities amid the complex world situation, has been recognized as a contributor to global peace," he affirmed.
