In eastern regions of Indonesia, the results of the development of infrastructure have been very beneficial and impactfulJakarta (ANTARA) - Chief Expert Staff of the Presidential Staff Office (KSP) Theofransus Litaay outlined three important achievements delivered by President Joko Widodo (Jokowi) in the development of infrastructure that provided a foundation for the next leaders.
"The three important achievements made by President Jokowi are related to the success in developing infrastructure, be it large infrastructure, small infrastructure, and digital infrastructure," he noted in a statement received in Jakarta on Saturday.
The expert staff opined that President Jokowi's achievements would serve as crucial legacies for the next leaders of Indonesia.
"In eastern regions of Indonesia, the results of the development of infrastructure have been very beneficial and impactful," he remarked.
He explained that for the president, infrastructure development does not merely revolve around physical structures since it is also related to the values of humanity and the dignity of the Indonesian people.
Litaay observed that the existence of infrastructure facilitates people to access educational and health services, which, in turn, will help the country to grow its economy.
Pertaining to digital infrastructure, he expressed optimism that the development of such infrastructure could lead Indonesia to further enlighten the nation, particularly its young talents.
"In other words, infrastructure development is part of the efforts to elevate the people's living standards and fulfill human rights," he concluded.
Earlier, on Friday (October 20), KSP Chief, Moeldoko, assessed that under the administration of President Jokowi and Vice President Ma'ruf Amin, Indonesia has been moving toward continued growth.
"Currently, Indonesia continues to grow and advance," Moeldoko stated in Jakarta.
He noted that Jokowi and Amin have been successful in maintaining Indonesia's rate of economic growth at a preferred figure of around 5.3 percent.
Moeldoko also praised the administration for its success in boosting the values of Indonesia's investment and mineral exports.
To this end, he drew attention to the value of nickel exports that had experienced a surge, from US$0.65 million in 2017 to US$5.94 million in 2022.
Meanwhile, the value of investment realization in 2022 was recorded at Rp1,207 trillion (approximately US$76 billion), surpassing the initial target of Rp1,200 trillion set by the president, he remarked.
He then alluded to Indonesia's strengthened diplomatic prowess by noting that the country's diplomatic influence index soared rapidly, even surpassing Singapore.
"Indonesia, with its diplomatic capabilities amid the complex world situation, has been recognized as a contributor to global peace," he affirmed.
