Head of the Public Information Bureau at Polri's Public Relations Division Brigadier General Ahmad Ramadhan told the media that the 27 terror suspects were apprehended by the special team in the provinces of Jakarta, West Java, and Central Sulawesi.
"All of the 27 suspects are members of the Anshor Daulah terrorist group," he highlighted.
In detail, the arrested suspects go by the initials as S, MG, S, AH, FA, MR, AM, UE, S, MG, D, FM, IM, S, AO, SM, DS, AP, J, AP, YR, J, F, RY, S, UB, and R.
The police officer then noted that the Anshor Daulah terrorist group is a supporter of the Islamic State of Iraq and Syria (ISIS).
"The Anshor Daulah group is a supporter of ISIS," Ramadhan underscored.
Earlier, on Thursday (October 26), Ramadhan revealed that the police's anti-terror squad had detained a total of 18 people allegedly involved in terrorism-related criminal activities during the period from October 2 to October 23 in six provinces.
He remarked that the terror suspects were arrested in West Nusa Tenggara, South Sumatra, Lampung, West Java, West Kalimantan, and West Sumatra.
According to Ramadhan, some of the 18 suspects are members of Anshor Daulah, while the others are members of the Jamaah Islamiyah terrorist group.
Two of the suspects, arrested in West Sumatra and West Kalimantan, are propagandists on social media, he remarked.
He also affirmed that the Densus 88 team would continue to make utmost efforts to prevent potential acts of terror in Indonesia.
"In principle, we have not witnessed a rise in the threats of terror crimes. Densus 88 is putting all-out efforts to take preventive measures for thwarting acts of terror in the homeland," he concluded.
