"Building infrastructure is not only about arranging concrete and steel but its development must provide added value not only for economic activities but also to increase competitiveness and economic growth," Hadimuljono remarked here on Wednesday.
Giving his remarks via video at the 2023 Indonesia Construction event in Jakarta, the minister noted that all stakeholders of the construction industry and services must continue to collaborate to create innovative and technology-based construction in order to compete with products from overseas.
"This year's Indonesia Construction is our great opportunity to realize aspirations of the national construction industry and services," he remarked.
Meanwhile, the PUPR Ministry's Director General of Construction, Rachman Arief Dienaputra, stated that the Indonesia Construction event gathered the construction community and industry players to synergize and create concrete steps for a more sustainable and inclusive construction sector.
He said that the ministry held the Indonesia Construction to support the growth and development of the construction services sector.
Indonesia Construction is a forum for stakeholders to exchange information and is expected to result in business opportunities and increase the productivity of national construction services.
Dienaputra said the event was also held to extend appreciation to the entire construction service community that has contributed to national infrastructure development.
This activity became a platform for information exchange between supply and demand and as a medium of collaboration between the government and construction stakeholders, both at home and from overseas.
Through the event, the ministry expected that the stakeholders could adopt and conduct digital and technological transformation and encourage investment opportunities in the construction services sector.
