At the launch of the Biomedical Campus in BSD City, Tangerang, Banten, he observed that digital transformation has huge potential along with the Society 5.0 concept, which seeks to combine the use of science and super intelligence tech to serve humans.
Acting district head of Tangerang, Andi Ony, described the establishment of the Biomedical Campus as an essential and strategic step in responding to the need for providing optimal health services and facilities to the community.
Given its strategic location and modern technological infrastructure, the Biomedical Campus is expected to provide world-class health services to all Indonesians, he said.
"We also believe that this initiative can improve the quality of human resources, create jobs, and boost economic growth in the Tangerang region and Indonesia in general," Ony added.
Coordinating Minister for Economic Affairs, Airlangga Hartarto, expressed his support for the new Biomedical Campus set up by Sinar Mas Land.
He said that the new building would support the transformation of health services in Indonesia, which is being bolstered by the government.
The campus can be part of the center of excellence there, supporting digital-based education along with the Apple Academy and Monash University, he added.
"The health research facility will improve domestic research capabilities to address global health challenges," he said.
