Jakarta (ANTARA) - Coordinating Minister for Maritime Affairs and Investment Luhut Binsar Pandjaitan praised President Joko Widodo's expertise in navigating the world economy’s challenging situation.

"Everyone praises President Widodo’s ability to navigate in this difficult world economy," the minister noted in a statement received here on Saturday.

Pandjaitan, who has nearly a decade of experience of working with Widodo, expressed his positive outlook on his leadership, especially in facing global challenges, such as handling the COVID-19 pandemic.

According to the minister, Widodo’s expertise is the key to the government’s achievements in the last three or four years.

Pandjaitan assessed that Widodo is able to overcome global obstacles and economic challenges with the right decisions.

He considered that the data and suggestions prepared by the president's team became a strong foundation for policies that were well executed.

“We, as his aide (ministers), submit our data and suggestions, and he listens to them and executes them well,” he stated.
