Jakarta (ANTARA) - State-owned Enterprises (SOEs) Minister Erick Thohir claimed that the average quality of public information disclosure (KIP) in the SOE ecosystem has improved by 2,500 percent since 2019.

"Hopefully, all SOEs will be transparent and informative in 2024," Thohir noted in his statement issued on Saturday.

The quality of KIP in state enterprises has increased steadily since 2019.

One of the SOEs that has improved its KIP is PT Kereta Api Indonesia, which won the title of "Informative" at the 2023 Public Information Openness Award, organized by the Central Information Commission.

It was the fourth title in four years for the state railway company.

PT Taspen, which manages government employees' old age savings and pension funds, also received the same award for the fourth time.

PT Taspen won the Informative title in 2019 and 2020 and in 2022 and 2023.

Meanwhile, telecommunication equipment maker PT INTI, state oil and gas company PT Pertamina, and water resources management firm Jasa Tirta II also won the "Informative" title three times in a row.

In addition, 11 other SOEs secured the Informative title twice in a row, while 10 others received the award in the Informative category for the first time.

In recognition of these achievements, Thohir thanked the Central Information Commission for the Informative Public Agency awards bestowed on some state enterprises. He also thanked all SOE staff for their hard work to obtain the Informative title.

"These awards are a manifestation that SOEs will always provide informative, professional, and transparent services to the community. SOEs at the forefront of the Indonesian economy strive to provide benefits for the people to realize an advanced Indonesia," he affirmed.
