Jakarta (ANTARA) - More than 80 percent of flights were on time during the 2023 Christmas and 2024 New Year transportation period, said the Directorate General of Air Transportation at the Ministry of Transportation.

It stated one of the important factors to ensure air transportation services are running smoothly is the on-time performance (OTP), which is a measure of airlines' performance in providing services on time.

"The OTP achievement is a result of cooperation of all parties that have contributed positively to the smooth running of flights," the ministry's Director General of Air Transportation, Maria Kristi Endah Murni, noted in an official statement from the ministry received here on Wednesday.

The directorate general is conducting monitoring for air transportation during the 2023 Christmas and 2024 New Year period from December 19, 2023, to January 3, 2024.
