Jakarta (ANTARA) - The Nusantara Capital Authority (OIKN) is developing the IKNOW application to support the provision of integrated services to residents of the new capital (IKN) Nusantara in East Kalimantan.

"It is in the introductory stage, and is still in further development," head of the project management office of smart city at OIKN, Daniel Oscar Baskoro, informed at the Nusantara Fair organized by the OIKN in Jakarta on Friday.

He stated that the application is still in the beta stage and his party is still gathering inputs on it.

"The IKNOW application is still in the beta stage; it is still being used internally because we are still collecting inputs, suggestions, and so on," he expounded.

According to him, in the future, the application will be used for IKN service integration.

"If we talk about smart features, everything is integrated for the public in one application. Thus, we are also implementing an electronic-based government system (SPBE), which makes things efficient," he said.

He added that later, all digital public services would be integrated into one application and the community will no longer need to install several applications on their phones.

"People will only need to download one application for various services at IKN such as (services) related to emergency, health services, tourism, and so on," Baskoro explained.

The beta version of the IKNOW application has several features, such as getting to know IKN, filing reports and complaints, emergency contact list, and health services.

Through the application, people can also monitor the progress of the new capital's development from time to time.

Based on the Nusantara Smart City Blueprint released by the OIKN, the implementation of a smart city concept in Nusantara is aimed at improving the quality of life of its residents through better access to services and facilities as well as creating a cleaner and safer environment.

This can also be realized by increasing the capacity to master and develop technology, as well as optimizing the use of resources effectively and efficiently by prioritizing residents' comfort and privacy.
