The overall progress of phase one development up to this month (January 2024) has reached around 71.47 percent.
Penajam Paser Utara (ANTARA) - The progress of construction of the State Palace and the Presidential Office as well as ceremonial grounds in the central government core area in Nusantara, Indonesia's future capital, has now reached 54.7 percent.

The development of the core area is continuing and showing good progress, head of the Nusantara Capital Authority (OIKN), Bambang Susantono, said in North Penajam Paser on Wednesday.

"Progress of the construction of the State Palace and President's Office, as well as the ceremonial grounds, has reached 54.7 percent," he informed.

The development of Nusantara is also having a positive impact on the surrounding area since the ongoing development is covering areas outside the core central government area.

This positive impact can be seen from the construction of the first phase of the National Axis, work on which has reached 96.41 percent completion so far, while the Sepaku Semoi Dam is 100 percent complete.

The work undertaken under phase one of the city's development has so far included projects carried out in September, November, and December 2023, as well as January 2024.

The first phase of Nusantara city's development covers main sectors, including hotels, residential, retail, logistics and offices, education, health, energy, transportation, and green areas, Susantono said.

"The overall progress of phase one development up to this month (January 2024) has reached around 71.47 percent," he added.

The development of Nusantara city has been expected to proceed as per the set targets.

The completion of work on various infrastructure facilities in Nusantara is in line with the target of making new history by holding the 79th Independence commemoration ceremony on August 17, 2024, in the new national capital.
