Jakarta (ANTARA) - The ANTARA News Agency has won the highest journalistic award in Indonesia, the Adinegoro Journalism Award, in the category of television media.

The award was won for the video feature Asa Pencari Keadilan or The Hope of Justice Seekers, produced by ANTARA TV/video team members, consisting of Hilary Pasulu, Prisca Triferna, Syamsul Rizal, Soni Namura, Keysa Anisa, Nabila Charisty, and Nayla Rachman.

The video feature talks about a new historical record in the upholding of human rights in Indonesia, specifically, how the Indonesian government began to use a different approach to handle cases of human rights violations.

In an official statement received here on Wednesday, the president director of ANTARA, Akhmad Munir, praised the TV/video department for the award.

"This award became a spirit and motivation for ANTARA to continue to produce quality journalistic works in educating the nation and state," he said.

Meanwhile, the director of news at ANTARA, Irfan Junaidi, expressed gratitude for the award.

He said that the award reflects the seriousness of ANTARA TV/video and the ANTARA family in producing journalistic content for the community.

"This award is an encouragement for us to continue to improve the quality of information produced by ANTARA. Personally, and on behalf of the company, I am very grateful for this seriousness," he added.

The producer of Asa Pencari Keadilan, Pasulu expressed her gratitude to ANTARA for providing space for the video team.

"Hopefully, this award will be our beginning to continue to produce quality journalistic works that have an impact on others," she said.

The announcement of the recipients of this year's Adinegoro Journalism Award was made during the 2024 National Press Day Talk Show, which was broadcast live from the TVRI station on Wednesday.
