Jakarta (ANTARA) - Agrarian Affairs and Spatial Planning Minister/National Land Agency Head (ATR/BPN) Agus Harimurti Yudhoyono said he is ready to fulfill the ministry's duties during the last eight months of President Joko Widodo's administration.

After being sworn in as ATR Minister/Head of BPN at the State Palace, here on Wednesday, AHY stated that President Joko Widodo (Jokowi) gave him the duty to immediately complete several priority targets, including the massive issuance of electronic land certificates.

"It (the e-certificate) can be a solution to many problems, including the overlapping land claim and land mafia games, and this is also a matter of justice, not just about distributing certificates but a very fundamental issue of justice," Yudhoyono told reporters.

In carrying out his duties, Yudhoyono vouched to ensure that the ministry can provide legal certainty to encourage investment, especially for areas and lands that will be used to build various strategic infrastructures.

He affirmed that the government should be able to increase the level of confidence of domestic and foreign investors to invest in Indonesia, so that it can drive the people's economy and open more jobs.
