Kendari (ANTARA) - All companies in Indonesia are required to provide information on available job openings under Presidential Regulation No. 57 of 2023 concerning the obligation to announce job vacancies, Deputy Minister of Manpower Afriansyah Noor said on Thursday.

"Mr. District Head, please urge all companies in Kolaka to disseminate information on job vacancies to local residents," he told acting district head Andi Makkawaru in Kolaka, Southeast Sulawesi Province.

He then urged district and city leaders to formulate derivative provisions of the presidential regulation to encourage firms to cooperate with the government in disseminating information on job openings.

That way, he explained, companies can promote job vacancies on a digital application managed by the Ministry of Manpower to help job seekers obtain information on available opportunities.

"This is a remarkable advancement in the era of digitization," he said while opening a job fair in Kolaka.

The deputy minister then underlined that Indonesia needs to produce more skilled talents to achieve the Golden Indonesia 2045 vision, noting that people of productive age will further dominate the national population in the coming years.

Noor added that the Ministry of Manpower has been assigned the responsibility of providing Indonesian talents with quality training courses by collaborating with regional governments at the provincial and district/municipal levels.

"It is necessary to provide training activities to job seekers, so that they will possess skills required for work," he pointed out.

He added that the ministry's job training center in Makassar city, South Sulawesi, has provided training to a total of 460 people so far, including police and military officers, in the hopes of equipping them with useful skills as they prepare for retirement.
