"As a follow-up to the direction of the President (Joko Widodo), we hope for active support and cooperation from all regional heads of provincial, district, and city governments," he stated at a coordination meeting on Ramadan and Eid al-Fitr here on Monday.
Adi noted that the first measure that must be taken by regional governments is carrying out the cheap food movement (GPM) in synergy with the State Logistics Agency (Bulog) as well as food associations in their respective regions.
"Our friends in Bulog, please convey that the stocks in regions are sufficient and please cooperate with regional governments," he emphasized.
Furthermore, the second measure that was encouraged is synergizing with the Regional Inflation Control Team (TPID), while the third measure is monitoring prices at central markets, traditional markets, and modern retail stores.

The Bapanas head underscored the importance of monitoring markets to ensure that rice is sold in accordance with the retail price ceiling (HET) of Rp10,900 (around US$0.69).
"Teams from the central government, ministries, and institutions, of course, will support and monitor all the evaluations to regions, so that later, the prices will be affordable for the community, and they can carry out worship activities (during Ramadan) comfortably," he remarked.
Bapanas, on Monday, held a joint coordination meeting, chaired by Home Affairs Minister Tito Karnavian, in cooperation with ministries and institutions as well as entrepreneurs in the food sector to realize affordable food for the community ahead of the 2024 Eid al-Fitr.
