Manpower Minister Ida Fauziyah officiated the Digital Creative Workshop at the Center for Vocational and Productivity Trainings (BBPVP) in Bandung, West Java, to accelerate growth of the area's creative sector and technology.
"The existence of several new facilities here is the result of proactive steps taken by the Manpower Ministry's BBPVP to transform Bandung into a metropolitan while stimulating the development of the creative sector and technology," she noted in a statement received here on Thursday.
During the inauguration ceremony held on Tuesday (March 5), Fauziyah also opened the Social Living Park and the building of the Certification Agency of the BBPVP.
The minister emphasized that the government developed the facilities in an effort to provide opportunities to young talents in Bandung and its surroundings to hone their skills, especially those related to the digital and creative sectors.
"They (youngsters) are all digitally literate. Hence, we need to help them gain skills and competencies that can meet the needs in the job market according to the RI 4.0 Vision," she pointed out.
She highlighted that Bandung has been known for its creative economy industry while urging the BBPVP to be able to respond to challenges related to the industry.
The minister then noted that the Manpower Ministry's BBPVP in Bandung offers a range of interesting training courses, such as photography, creative content, and graphic design, that are appealing to young people.
On the occasion, Fauziyah also extended her appreciation to the BBPVP Bandung for opening and providing opportunities for talented young people in Bandung and the surrounding regions to partake in the efforts aimed at advancing the creative sector of West Java Province.
