"It (connectivity) is guaranteed, Telkom is ready. As we are getting closer to the execution of the relocation of state institutions, the company has developed the network to ensure signal stability (in IKN)," he remarked at his office in Jakarta on Thursday.
Setiadi highlighted that the government had entrusted Telkom with serving as a reliable provider of telecommunication services in the future capital city, supported by the Indonesian Satellite-1 (SATRIA-1).
He then remarked that the development of supporting infrastructure had been underway, including the IKN Telkom Smart Office whose groundbreaking ceremony was attended by President Joko Widodo and State-owned Enterprises Minister Erick Thohir on March 1, 2023.
On that occasion, Thohir noted that the smart office was meant to transform IKN Nusantara into Indonesia's telecommunication hub.

Setiadi further remarked that the government had tasked Telkom with ensuring a sound level of connectivity in IKN by utilizing a fiber optic backbone network to provide uninterrupted cellular and internet services.
In addition to connectivity matters, he remarked that Telkom is mandated to assist the government in managing a data center, implementing the Internet of Things, and applying electronic-based bureaucracy.
To support Telkom, the Communication and Informatics Ministry will prepare its Telecommunication and Information Accessibility Agency (BAKTI) in the event of disruption to connectivity in IKN, he pointed out.
"We can consider matters related to connectivity solved, as BAKTI will provide support at several sites," he affirmed.
The Nusantara Capital Authority (OIKN) has tasked BAKTI with backing up the IKN Command Center, he added.
