"The groundbreaking ceremonies mark the launch of construction works, which in turn, proves that the IKN will continue to grow and develop," he remarked in North Penajam Paser District, East Kalimantan, on Saturday.
Alimuddin also highlighted that during the period from September 2023 to February 2024, as much as Rp50 trillion (US$3.19 billion) of capital had been placed in IKN Nusantara.

He then highlighted the land clearing process in Nusantara, saying that the government will always pay attention to residents whose lands and assets are affected by construction works.
The deputy noted that the central government refers to Government Regulation No. 39 of 2023 in carrying out the land clearing process.
He said that those affected by land clearing might either opt for compensation funds, land replacement, resettlement, share ownership, or other instruments.
"When a parcel of land needs to be cleared for the sake of the development of Nusantara City, its owners will get relocated," he affirmed.
He further emphasized that the government would continue to develop the city while protecting the rights of every affected citizen instead of conducting arbitrary evictions.
