The international exhibition displays several artifacts related to the prophet, including hair, blood extracted from cupping therapy, cuts of turban, sweat extract, and whip, according to Head of Batam's Culture and Tourism Office, Ardiwinata.
"The items were collected from Yemen, Medina, and Mecca. All of them are artifacts of chief historical values," he remarked in Batam on Saturday.
Ardiwinata expressed hope that the display of the 10 relics would encourage the Muslims of Batam to further nurture their love toward Prophet Muhammad.
"This exhibition is good for school students, college students, and the public as a whole. This is the power of Islam. It is amazing that these artifacts can be collected and preserved," he stated.

According to the official, the Batam International Expo is the first of its kind to be held in the city.
"Usually, Batam hosts exhibitions that highlight either tourism, investment, trade, or products of micro, small and medium enterprises. Now, the city hosts a religious expo for the first time ever," he pointed out.
On that note, he invited Batam residents to take part in enlivening the international exhibition that is being held as part of the Batam Wonderfood Ramadan and Arts Festival.
Muhammad Agung, a member of the expo organizing committee, stated that the 10 relics of Prophet Muhammad being displayed were delivered from a heritage gallery in Malaysia and have been exhibited in several regions of Indonesia.
He remarked that the authenticity of the 10 relics has been verified by several clerics.
People keen on visiting the expo will have to incur Rp50 thousand (US$3.19) as a contribution to the development of a building of an Islamic boarding school.
