Jakarta (ANTARA) - State Apparatus Empowerment and Bureaucratic Reform (PAN-RB) Minister Abdullah Azwar Anas stated that the development of the Portal Nasional (National Portal) had shown a positive trend.

The minister made this statement while meeting Deputy Minister of State-Owned Enterprises (SOEs) Kartika Wirjoatmodjo at the PAN-RB Ministry Office, here on Friday.

"Mr. Deputy Minister gave an exciting update on the progress, and hopefully, we can execute this quickly," Anas remarked.

The National Portal is one of the nine priority services in the electronic-based government system being developed under GovTech Indonesia.

Minister Anas underscored the need to accelerate the development of GovTech in Indonesia, with a target of three breakthroughs in the near future.

The minister drew attention to the importance of first putting in place a national policy on the implementation of digital identity.

The PAN-RB Ministry and related agencies will coordinate to form a small team that will formulate the name, logo, and branding of GovTech Indonesia to make it more structured.

The next area of focus is to expedite the internal transformation of state-owned currency printing enterprise Peruri that will be assigned as the foundation of GovTech Indonesia.

Anas said that his side has targeted to integrate the nine SPBE priority services from March to August 2024. The nine priority services are health, education, social assistance, digital identity based on population data, One Data Indonesia, financial transactions, the National Portal, state apparatus services, and police-assisted services, such as e-driver's licenses and permits for crowded events.

Meanwhile, Deputy Minister of SOEs Kartika Wirjoatmodjo explained that the synergy team between SOE and Peruri is developing the National Portal interface that will later become a system that directly serves the community.

"We will use Application Programming Interface (API) for digital services in ministries. We hope that there will be an acceleration in this portal development," he remarked.
