“The president’s helpers must be able to work 24 hours for five years from 2024 to 2029,” he noted in an MPR statement received here on Friday.
Soesatyo explained that members of the next cabinet must be able to support and execute the policies of the elected president.
Moreover, he voiced support for plans to separate several ministries, such as the Ministry of Public Works and Public Housing, or the Ministry of Environment and Forestry.
"The future helpers of the president must have a new spirit, new collective work, and new ministerial nomenclatures, new challenges, but still be equipped with combinative strategic depth, a successor to the policies of the current Joko Widodo-Ma'ruf Amin Cabinet," he affirmed.
The MPR speaker highlighted that the world is currently facing challenges due to wars and disasters that can affect the country’s conducive state.

To this end, he invited all elements of the country to unite for the nation and state.
“We are currently in the midst of a threat of world economic depression that will definitely affect Indonesia's defense and security situation. It has been proven that any prolonged political unrest tends to worsen Indonesia's economic and social stability," he remarked.
Earlier, on Wednesday (March 20), the General Elections Commission (KPU) officially declared the victory of Prabowo Subianto and his running mate, Gibran Rakabuming Raka, in the February 2024 presidential election.
The KPU stated that of 164,227,475 legitimate votes, Prabowo-Gibran won 96,214,691 votes, while their rivals Anies Baswedan-Muhaimin Iskandar garnered 40,971,906 votes, and Ganjar Pranowo-Mahfud MD gained 27,040,878 votes.
