Bodies of the seven victims were all found inside a room on the shop building's second story, Mampang Prapatan Police Chief Commissioner David Yunior Kanitero stated.

Rescuers retrieved the bodies after firefighters doused the flames that arose from the "Saudara Frame dan Galery" shop in the Mampang Prapatan neighborhood area, he remarked.

The fire also caused injuries to five other people, two of whom were admitted to the Mampang Prapatan Public Hospital, while three others were sent to the Pertamina Central Hospital, he noted.
