Bandung, West Java (ANTARA) - The West Java Provincial Government ensured that it will pay all the handling fees of the victims of the tour bus accident that occurred in Ciater, Subang, West Java.

West Java Acting Governor Bey Triadi Machmudin in his statement here on Sunday, stated that in addition to bearing the victims' costs, it also ensured that all victims are handled optimally, and vowed to deliver the bodies of the fatalities back to their families.

"We ensure that all of the costs needed for the victims are borne by the government. We want the best treatment for the injured and we strive to bring the deceased to their families as soon as possible," Machmudin said.

The death toll in the bus accident in Ciater, Subang, reached 11 people consisting of nine students, one teacher, and one Subang resident.

Some 14 people who were slightly injured, 23 relatively injured, and 12 seriously injured, are now undergoing out intensive care at Subang Regional General Hospital.

Machmudin expressed his deep condolences for the bus accident in Subang which claimed many lives. He also immediately went to the Subang Hospital to visit both dead and injured victims.

"We, on behalf of the West Java Provincial Government, express our deep condolences to the families of the deceased and to the injured, hopefully, they will recover soon," he said.

Related to the accident chronology, he said that he is still waiting for the police's investigation results to find out the exact cause of the accident.

"We are still waiting for the police for the details, as it involved three buses," he said.

Furthermore, he appealed to bus companies to always routinely check the roadworthiness of their vehicles and the drivers' fitness.
