"Hopefully, the digital services, including electronic certificates that we launched in Banten today, will further strengthen efforts to increase digital transformation that we are bolstering together," he stated here on Thursday (May 30).
Yudhoyono made the statement during the Declaration of 14 Cities with Complete Land Record throughout Indonesia and the Implementation of Electronic Land Certificates in Tangerang, Banten.
The minister remarked that the issuance of land e-certificates is in accordance with President Joko Widodo's (Jokowi's) aspirations to realize a digital government system.
"President Joko Widodo three days ago launched GovTech Indonesia, a national digital portal called INA Digital," he said.
He stated that with INA Digital, all public services in the digital realm will be fully integrated, including the land electronic certificates issued by the ministry, thereby increasing efficiency and comfort for the public in accessing various services.
"Hopefully, all public services will be digitally integrated, including electronic certificate services from the ministry," Yudhoyono remarked.
Hence, the minister urged land officials at the district, city, and provincial levels to intensify education regarding the massive use of electronic certificates to increase public understanding and adoption of the technology.
"We have to have the spirit in that direction, and with the e-certificate, the society is expected to understand it more,” he stated.
He emphasized that digital transformation has become increasingly important as the backbone of national progress by cutting short all lengthy administrative procedures.
"This is a game changer. Let us make it successful with the spirit of digital transformation," he affirmed.
