Jakarta (ANTARA) - The Ministry of Tourism and Creative Economy (Kemenparekraf) launched the Indonesia Business Startup Matchmaking or IndoBisa 2024 program to support the development of startup companies in the tourism and creative economy sectors.

IndoBisa 2024 is a platform provided to connect local startup companies with investors, mentors, and related stakeholders in the business ecosystem.

"We hope that IndoBisa can generate sustainable business startups," Tourism and Creative Economy Minister and Head of the Tourism and Creative Economy Agency Sandiaga Shalahudin Uno said, as quoted in Kemenparekraf's press release in Jakarta, Friday.

IndoBisa focuses on startup companies in the tourism and creative economy sectors, including the gaming business, applications, design and art, and media and entertainment, which require funding and ecosystem to grow and develop to become sustainable businesses.

Deputy for Industry and Investment at Kemenparekraf, Rizki Handayani, stated that the 2024 IndoBisa Open Call will be held online in collaboration with the startup company community in Bandung, Surabaya, Yogyakarta, Semarang, Surakarta, Sumatra, Kalimantan, and also Bali.

After the registration process, 100 participants will be selected and re-selected to become the 30 best participants.

"The top 30 will take part in a three-day hybrid Fundraising Bootcamp training," Handayani remarked.

The series of activities in the 2024 IndoBisa also include fundraising, mentoring programs, and networking sessions with investors.

Director of Financing Access at Kemenparekraf, Anggara Hayun Anujuprana, explained that startup companies in the tourism and creative economy sectors that need capital can use this platform to meet with investors.

"After startups meet with venture capitalists, we want to build a sustainable startup ecosystem through matchmaking, thematic networking, and speed networking, which hopefully we can realize in 2024," Anujuprana stated.
