The MBG program is one of the priority programs of the elected president and vice president Prabowo-Gibran.
"The president-elect Prabowo agreed on the gradual implementation of this program. In the 2025 RAPBN, the budget of Rp71 trillion has been agreed for his administration," she stated at a press conference on Current Economic Fundamental Conditions and the 2025 RAPBN in Jakarta on Monday.
The budget for the MBG Program has been included in the 2025 RAPBN posture agreed upon in the discussion of the Macroeconomic Framework and Fiscal Policy Principles (KEM-PPKF), she remarked.
"The figure of Rp71 trillion was in the deficit posture range of 2.29 percent to 2.82 percent. We will compile it later when we draft the 2025 State Budget Bill that will be presented by President Jokowi on August 16 (2024)," the minister remarked.

Furthermore, Indrawati stated that the Prabowo-Gibran team would prepare details of the MBG Program that would be explained separately. The preparation of the 2025 RAPBN was carried out in accordance with the State Budget cycle regulated in the State Finance Law and discussed with the House of Representatives (DPR) to obtain approval.
On the same occasion, a member of the Finance Sector of the Prabowo-Gibran Government Synchronization Task Force Team, Thomas Djiwandono, stated that the budget allocation of Rp71 trillion had been agreed upon by the current and future governments.
He ensured that the President and Vice president-elect Prabowo-Gibran would commit to the deficit target agreed by the current government.
"Rp71 trillion is a sufficient figure. We are committed to gradually implementing Prabowo's working programs. The key is the gradual implementation with quality spending principles," he remarked.
