Memoranda of understanding were signed by the ministry's Industrial Human Resources Development Agency (BPSDMI) head Masrokhan, Morimitsu Industry CEO Mitsusaki Shunji, and AAIC Chairman Nakamura Hirohide in Nagasaki, Japan, on Tuesday.
"We are very glad that Morimitsu Industry and AAIC have now become part of the development of industrial human resources in Indonesia," Masrokhan noted in a statement issued on Wednesday.
Morimitsu Industry is an energy processing and machinery manufacturing company, and AAIC is a company that offers consultation services related to business development and renewable energy.
Masrokhan remarked that, under the scope of cooperation, the government would provide internship opportunities for students of the ministry's ATI Polytechnic in Makassar, South Sulawesi, at the two companies.
The ministry organizes 13 colleges and nine vocational high schools across Indonesia, with the number of graduates reaching 6,000 annually.
All vocational education units of the ministry have jointly conducted a batch of the Industry Vocation Acceptance Route (JARVIS) on May 2–31 for those looking to be admitted to the units. A total of 50,737 people participated in the admission process.
JARVIS aims to absorb Indonesian youths into vocational education units and lead them to become capable workers or entrepreneurs.
Another batch of JARVIS will soon be opened and last until July 31.
