Jakarta (ANTARA) - Law and Human Rights Minister Yasonna Laoly has assured of the safety of immigration data transferred to the Amazon Web Service (AWS) following last week's ransomware cyberattack.

"Now, it's still in AWS. Complete, good, and no problems anymore," he informed after attending an internal meeting on the Temporary National Data Center (PDNS) cyberattack at the Presidential Palace Complex in Jakarta on Friday.

The minister said that the immigration data stored on AWS is safe from leaks.

However, he could not confirm when the immigration data stored on AWS will be returned to the National Data Center (PDN) in Indonesia.

"Just wait (for) the development," he said.

Immigration data of the Ministry of Law and Human Rights was moved to AWS following the disruption at PDN due to a ransomware attack.

As of Monday, the National Cyber and Crypto Agency (BSSN) and the Ministry of Communication and Informatics had identified 211 agencies affected by the PDNS 2 cyberattack. One day later, 282 agencies were said to have been affected by the incident.

On Wednesday, 44 agencies were recorded as ready to carry out data recovery, while the rest were still in process and five of them had resumed services to community.
