"Human resource development is the lifeblood of nation-building. Our country will experience a demographic bonus, and this is supported by the Golden Indonesia vision through the 2025-2045 Long-Term Development Plan (RPJPN)," Tjahjanto stated.
On that occasion, he opened the "Civilized Movement towards Golden Indonesia" conference in Bali through a video conference here on Wednesday.
At the event, Tjahjanto affirmed that Indonesia is currently facing various global developments in economy, culture, politics, and technology.
The minister underscored the need to respond to the unstoppable flow of globalization through providing quality human resources.
With quality human resources, Tjahjanto affirmed that the nation and the people would be able to catch up with the progress of the times. Thus, Indonesia would not be left behind.
The minister affirmed that one of the characteristics that indicate a society has made progress and welcomed globalization is the outlook to abide by regulations.
Tjahjanto said this is stipulated in Presidential Instruction Number 12 of 2016 on the National Movement for Mental Revolution (GRNM).
"The mental revolution movement for cultural development aims to change the behavior of the Indonesian people to become more civilized by complying with applicable regulations," he affirmed.
He expressed belief that by having a civilized mentality and complying with regulations, Indonesian human resources will become more advanced and ready to keep up with the times.
"Let us work hard sincerely. Hopefully, our contributions of ideas will receive an overflow of blessings and this event can be useful to increase dedication to our beloved country," he remarked.
