"For the Independence Day celebration, we have prepared 14 units out of the total 36 landed houses for ministers," chairperson of the Nusantara capital city (IKN) infrastructure development planning task force, Imam Santoso Ernawi, said at an online press conference here on Thursday.
The 14 landed houses for ministers, he said, are located on Persil (lot) 105.
Ernawi informed that four of the 14 houses have been furnished and are currently ready and functional. "Four houses are ready, functional, including the furniture," he said.
The ministry will furnish the remaining 10 units this month, he added. "We have prepared all of this, including the furniture," he said.
Overall, the construction of ministerial residences in Nusantara had reached 94.65 percent completion as of July 4.
Their construction is based on the compact city concept, which emphasizes the planning of an integrated home environment with several principles, such as land efficiency, accessibility, and sustainable lifestyle.
The two-storied ministerial residences will span a total land area of one thousand square meters, with a building area of about five hundred square meters.
The PUPR Ministry is working to complete all 36 ministerial houses in Nusantara, which will be split in Persil 104 and Persil 105.
On a separate occasion, State-Owned Enterprises (SOEs) Minister Erick Thohir said that IKN Nusantara's development is a strategic step to push inclusive economic growth and equitable development across Indonesia.
