Bandung (ANTARA) - PT Kereta Cepat Indonesia China (KCIC) stated that the Whoosh fast train has served four million passengers since it began operating on October 17, 2023.

KCIC General Manager Corporate Secretary Eva Charunisa affirmed that this could be achieved through various efforts and innovations carried out by KCIC with all stakeholders to improve services and increase public interest in using Whoosh after more than nine months of operation.

"Serving four million passengers is an extraordinary achievement for KCIC and shows the public trust in our services," Chairunisa stated in Bandung, Saturday.

Chairunisa remarked that the achievement not only reflects the public trust and enthusiasm for fast train services but also shows a significant positive impact in various sectors, especially tourism.

"The positive impact in the tourism sector strengthens our mission to increase connectivity and support economic growth through efficient and comfortable transportation," she stated.

She affirmed that the KCIC will also continue to improve facilities at stations and on trains for passengers' greater comfort and will work closely with the government and tourism industry to promote tourist destinations along the Whoosh route.

"KCIC is very grateful for the trust placed on it and is committed to continuing to provide the best service," she stated.

Furthermore, she remarked that the Whoosh fast train had experienced a significant increase in passenger volume.

This is in line with the addition of trips that continue to be made to accommodate the needs of the community.

"From 14 trips per day in October 2023, currently, there are 48 trips per day with headway of up to 30 minutes," Chairunisa stated.
