In her statement, she emphasized that all children have the right to participate and express their opinions, urging local governments to create spaces for children to do so.
She also highlighted the importance of investing in human capital.
“Human resources are our most valuable asset, not mineral resources," she said. "We must invest significantly in our children, who comprise one-third of Indonesia's population.”
Puspayoga inaugurated Ninuk Zudan as the South Sulawesi Children’s Forum President.
Zudan expressed gratitude to Puspayoga and requested support to fulfill her role as the forum’s patron. She also called for collaboration among children’s forums at the district and city levels to create a brighter future for children.
The National Children’s Forum represents the Voice of Indonesian Children, which includes aspirations from children at all levels of society. Zudan encouraged children in South Sulawesi to respect their parents and teachers and develop strong character.
National Children’s Day, celebrated annually on July 23, is an opportunity to prioritize children’s rights to grow, develop, and participate fully in society. It also serves as a reminder to protect children from violence and discrimination.
