Manado, North Sulawesi (ANTARA) - State health insurer BPJS Kesehatan strives to make its services accessible to people in remote areas.

"We hope all layers of society can obtain the health insurance benefits equally," said Inda Deryanne Hasman, a member of BPJS Kesehatan's Board of Supervisors, on Sunday.

In celebrating its 56th anniversary, the company presents the Pesiar event that aims to map, plan, advocate, and register residents in the National Health Insurance (JKN) program.

"The event aims to increase the JKN participants to 98 percent of the total population," she said.

Hasman said that the Pesiar event also supports the achievement of sustainable development goals (SDGs), health and prosperous villages, the validity of population data and the integrated social welfare data, and JKN's full coverage of villagers.

Pesiar agents will help register residents in remote areas into the JKN program, she added.

"The Pesiar event is an effort to increase villagers' life quality to realize a healthy, prosperous, and globally competitive Indonesia," Hasman said.
